What it Takes to Change.
A Roadmap to engage disruption and engage change in your business
Let’s be honest. We hate change, yet constant change is the very definition of life. The moment your body stops changing and growing it means you’re dead. Sorry. And 10 years ago, the world was a completely different place, we didn’t have the smartphone, or the tablet, our internet was slow and annoying at best, AI was something you saw in sci-fi movies. Change is here, and here to stay.
Disruption happens in two ways, either you are forced to change, or you choose to change. How our businesses respond to the current, and constant, stream of disruptors are key to not only surviving the current storm, but riding the wave. If we do not engage intentionally change will still happen, but at great cost. It is as true for the man buying a sports car to stay of his midlife crisis, to the multi-national refusing to re-invent, and re-think. |

Over the centuries humanity has developed ways to facilitate change and growth in life, from birth to adolescence, to adulthood and even to sagehood. The path of the hero is always the same, whether is it Odysseus or Andy from the Devil wears Prada. What is true for the individual is true for the whole, the universal is always accessed through the particular. A company is nothing more than a person, being born, then rebellious teenage years, hitting midlife, and finally reaching its true purpose in the second half, as a sage, and a hero.

“Pierre du Plessis is most probably one of the best speakers I have encountered, anywhere in the world. I have been lucky enough to see the likes of Nir Eyal, Eric Qualman, the great Tony Dungy, even Bill Clinton, but do I do anything different after listening to them? Nope. I do after Pierre’s talks.”
Dewald du Plooy, Marketing Director KFC Africa
