Dr. Jane Goodall did groundbreaking work observing chimpanzees. Her discovery that chimpanzees make and use tools is one of the biggest discoveries of the 20th century. It redefined how we think about what it means to be human.
Unlike her peers, Dr. Goodall never carried a gun when observing the animals. There is a story that she learned this from her mentor, Dr. Louis Leakey. The theory is simple, even chimpanzees can sense your intention, and if you carry a gun, they won't let you into their circle. How often do I go into a meeting, or a relationship, or friendship, carrying a 'gun'? Today, leave the gun at the door. Get skin in the game. Pierre
