.Listening. To be able to listen properly to someone, not just waiting for my turn to speak is a skill I always want to improve on. It becomes tricky when I disagree with the person or if there is some unresolved issues between us. I become defensive, and being defensive closes down the dialogue and gets no one nowhere. Here's how I note if I'm becoming defensive; if I catch myself listening out for exaggerations or errors I know I'm already closing down. I stop, take a breath, and I open up. Today, watch your intention when listening. Get skin in the game. Pierre
