Our heads get us in trouble, and the irony is it is our heads that we try and use to get us out of trouble. Have you ever just listened to your thoughts? Take a moment and think about all the things you have thunk (Dr Seuss reference there for a friday), since you got up this morning. Crazy, right? Would you trust that person to give you some good advice? I doubt it. So what to do? Part of the answer, for me, is to get out of my head and into my heart, or my intuition if you prefer. One trick I use, is to do exactly what I'm doing writing this sentence; I use 'I' language. I don't write what 'people', or 'you', or 'one' should do, but what I should do. It takes it closer to home, makes it far less abstract and starts to be something that I can feel instead of think. Get skin in the game Pierre
