Un-disciplinarian. This is a term I heard last week for the first time. It describes a person that doesn't work in one specific discipline, but also doesn't work in more than one, or more than one at a time, as in a trans- or multi-disciplinarian. They work in the in between spaces, in the cracks, the interconnection between disciplines, acting as bridges and holding the tensions. I'm an un-disciplinarian, and I suspect we need more.
