ramblings.
I can't stand the question, 'So what do you do?'. Firstly because I never quite know how to answer that, I am a trend spotter/ trend analyst/ speaker/ author/ artist/ socialmediaguy/ blogger/ stayathomedad (sometimes). Secondly, I really don't like working. I really, really love creating work. This is some artist speak I picked up from my friends Rina and Angus, both great artists. They constantly refer to their art, and everyone else's as 'work', short for artwork I suppose. Perhaps we should all stop working and create (art)work. The question then being what are you creating? Creating a physical product, creating the value chain, creating year end reports, creating a legal defense, creating art? In short, stop working and make work. The work aboveI created a small installation over the weekend for Easter, four boxes placed on stacked crates. The participants (I can't stand the art term 'viewers'). Were invited to 'look inside' by a message projected onto the infinity curve.
The boxes contained from left to right, olive branches, thorns, raw bones and meat, and last an empty box painted black inside. Comments are closed.
